Brief Description:  Case vent drain, more wiring

Installed a hose from the oil/air seperator to a drain located in the upper portion of the engine sump. If the hose fails, there should still be oil below the sump fitting that the oil strainer can pick up.
Made a 90 degree power connector for the Bendix-King AV80R GPS. A heat shrink sleeve was placed over the solder joint and filled with silicon RTV to support the wires. Connected the cable to power and ground.
Reviewed the autopilot controller/wiring requirements. I'll need to add another switch and breaker for that system. There is room on the right side of the panel to do that.
Installed the TinyTach and routed the wires to the engine area.
Connected power and ground to the Westach Quad meter. The power for this goes from the breaker directly to the instrument, no switch. As soon as the master is turned on, the instrument is powered, providing information in preparation for engine start.
Checked that the mags are grounded with the mag switch off. With the switch off there is no resistance to ground, as it should be. Resistance through each coil is about 18 ohms to ground with the switch on.
Connected the battery and turned on the master. No smoke or popped breakers. So far so good.
Checked the ignition circuit and get battery voltage at the coils with the IGN switch on.
Installed the wires for the oil temperature and checked that the oil temp indication on the Westach responded as expected. Still need to do a boiling water calibration check.
Did some wire bundling to see how things would clean up.
When I get a prop. I believe I'm darn near capable of a first engine start. Before that, I'll add oil, remove all the plugs, and crank the engine until I get oil pressure. I've installed a mechanical pressure guage on a tee at the oil pressure sensor to backup and compare to the Westach reading.
